CAMERON TWO MONTHS

TWO MONTHS

Cameron is starting to show her personality and is settling into a routine. She is sleeping from 10:30 to 5 am most nights and will sometimes go till 7am. She takes good naps throughout the day and is becoming more playful during the hours she is awake. Cameron still has her blue eyes and they seem to be getting lighter instead of darker. By this age, Morgan already had dark brown eyes. She has a full face smile, like Morgan, and a laugh that melts your heart. She is starting to coo at herself in a mirror and at whoever is holding her. She is gaining head control and trying to lift her head when on her belly. Her eyelashes are very long like Morgan's although very light in color. She has lost most of her hair except the hair at the very bottom of her head which is still dark brown/black. Cameron is very 'passive' when it comes to dealing with Morgan. I think most babies would start crying at the things Morgan does but Cameron just watches her and braces for impact. A few of Morgan's favorite things to do with Cameron are: full body hugs, taking the pacifier out of her mouth and then trying to 'jam' it back in, wash her face/hands/belly button, undress her, bounce her in the bouncer (of course not a gentle bounce), and give her a baby doll (usually right into Cameron's face). We continue to pray that they love each other and will be best friends for a lifetime.

Cameron's two month check-up went very well. She has had the cold that has plagued our house for the past month but otherwise is very healthy. She is 24 inches long (95%+) and weighs 11 pounds 13 oz (75%). Her head circumference is 39 cm. I went back and looked up Morgan's stats and she was 24 in and 12 pounds at her four month check-up. Cameron is wearing 0-3 month clothes however they are getting too short to button. I have a brother and uncles who are very tall and Carl has a brother who is tall so we have the tall gene in our gene pool. She is currently taking 4-5 oz of formula every 3 to 3.5 hours with her last feeding at 10pm. She uses a pacifier at times but would prefer to suck on her fingers.

Carl continues to enjoy his job and I am thankful I did not have to go back to work at the 6 week mark like many mothers. Carl's job sent him to Europe for a week however he didn't get to do any site seeing-all business. We are hoping that there will be opportunities in the future for me to go and for us to do some site seeing. We are still working on the house and are starting to see some progression. I have joined a MOPS group at the church we are attending and have meet some nice women. We also joined the YMCA and I am enjoying working out again. I am able to leave the girls in the Child Watch program for 2 hours a day which gives me enough time to finish a full workout. We are thankful everyday that Cameron is a happy, healthy baby.

Cameron is taking a lesson from her big sister. If you look at the left side of the picture you can see Morgan pointing her finger at Cameron as she jabbers something to her.

Playtime on her mat. Morgan loves to get on the mat with Cameron but I usually have to take her off because she tries to pick Cameron up like on of her dolls.
